-Athena, Ingrid & Joan- Around our property, they roam The earth and soil, they do comb Searching for bugs between the stones Athena, Ingrid & Joan... One black, one white, one golden brown Three sisters, intrinsically bound So they will never be alone Athena, Ingrid & Joan... Each morning we wake to their call And, from our beds, down we do fall Releasing them from their abode Athena, Ingrid & Joan... It works so symbiotically If I feed them, then they'll feed me What you wish to reap must be sewn Athena, Ingrid & Joan... Alas our tale it must now end They weren’t just pets They were our friends But now it seems these birds have flown Athena, Ingrid & Joan…

-Psalm Of The Palms- It’s been so long Since Florida called My adventurous heart To return to it’s palms. But. by next fall I shall find myself Embraced within Sun drenched arms… The songs of the palms Echo like psalms In my brain, repeating Their tune, so loud Just like the horn of A south-bound train… Come relax in my shade I will be here every day Your worries and pains They will all melt away Here in the Sunshine State…
3.
-Gibbous Reprise- Let our intentions intertwine Don’t keep me in The back of your mind We’ll hold each other High above the skyline I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon… I’ll love you through Each phase of your life In the darkness or the light I will never seek to Cause you strife, no I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon… Yes, I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon Some day we’ll be as one The eclipse is coming soon… Whether you be gibbous or waxing To my eyes, I shall view you As a life long prize And even as we come To hear this reprise; I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon… I’ll always see the good That you have to give O! how you have Made my heart swoon And, with all the time We have left together I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon… Yes, I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon Some day we’ll be as one The eclipse is coming soon… After all the trials That we’ve been through The eclipse will be coming soon I will be the Sun If you will be the Moon…

-Grains Of Sand Like You- Close your eyes, and Transport yourself To a place that you dream of Is it a distant beach? A coast with no name Where the pale white sands Collide with the sea Over and over, endlessly… All that we learn, and All that we do; All that we know, or Thought that we knew They’re all just grains of sand In the hourglass of life, like you… Imagine yourself As a grain of sand Infinitesimal, in the Scheme of this world. Falling through the cracks Of a sunburnt hand Returning to the Earth Where your journey began… All that we learn, and All that we do; All that we know, or Thought that we knew They’re all just grains of sand In the hourglass of life, like you…

-The Rain & All It Promises- O! The rain and all it promises! O! The rain and all it promises!… They hide beneath the soil of the forest Waiting for the rains to fall And nourish all the micro organisms Which create the endless sprawl of fungi Hiding just beneath our footprints How they constantly evolve To live so symbiotically with this world As it endlessly revolves around the Sun… O! The rain and all it promises! O! The rain and all it promises!… So next time when you’re walking through the forest Don’t forget to look around, and Witness all the beauty that surrounds you And the treasures to be found. If we can learn to coexist with nature On this planet where we live, Then we will come to see it’s endless wonders And that it has so much to give to us… O! The rain and all it promises! O! The rain and all it promises!…

-The Ink Is Running Out- There is a single thought That has been weighing on my mind Since I began on this Long and tedious climb Can I use this pen to follow All of my wildest dreams, or Will my insecurities find me Running out of ink; time after time… Yes it’s possible that I’ve become More hermitic in my old age; I no longer understand social norms Like I did in my youth. I shy away from confrontation, yet Temptation still tugs at my coat tails; Beckoning me to free the beast within Who seeks to deter me from my truth… O! How I try in vain To express all of my thoughts in song Find the right melody, and Put the lyrics where they belong But, it gets difficult when The words all seem to come out wrong Hindering me from completing my task And moving along… Yes it’s possible that I’ve become More hermitic in my old age; I no longer understand social norms Like I did in my youth. I shy away from confrontation, yet Temptation still tugs at my coat tails; Beckoning me to free the beast within Who seeks to deter me from my truth…

Terminus 05:19
-Terminus- Nobody knows what the fuck they’re doing This world has a way of forcing us to adapt to The obstacles it sets in place. Without these challenges We would never truly know Just what we’re capable of, and How much we have left to grow In our minds and our souls Until we may feel whole… Everyone is either dead or dying This life is about finding a means to an end Until we have reached terminus. We’ll never truly know Just when our lives will be done, So why not live each day like it’s our last; Not the ones yet to come, or The ones in our past. Be here now, make it last… Go out and embrace your life Instead of hiding from the world Afraid that it might break you down Release you from your mortal coil Death comes for us all one day That fact we can never avoid, So make the most of your time And build a life worth living for Staying true to your core How could we yearn for more?…

Autumn Calls 06:29
-Autumn Calls- The days they come and go One after another A sun it rises and A moon it falls The wind is blowing Through the forests and valleys Autumn Calls... The Earth is tilted 23.5 degrees on it axis Rotating at 1440 minutes As it orbits the Sun... The changing seasons Occur once each quarter A global factor which Indeed effects us all After the summer When the heat has faded Autumn Calls... The Earth is tilted 23.5 degrees on it axis Rotating at 1440 minutes As it orbits the Sun... As we pass through different seasons Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring Each one has it's many reasons for celebrating. In the winter there is snowfall Which melts to flowers in the Spring Summer brings us much more sunlight Fall brings changing leaves... As we pass through different seasons Winter, Summer, Spring & Fall Each one has its many reasons To be celebrated by us one and all...

-Lost Luminary- As the days go by, they’re growing shorter And I am drifting further from The person who I thought I would be. So I’ve been taking some time to realign The synapses in my brain, and Help me see more clearly. Sure, I’ve been doing fine, Just sort of getting by Living that paycheck to paycheck routine But theres an ever-lurking feeling In the back of my mind that I need to find a way to focus on What truly makes me happy… I’ll follow any light Just bright enough To catch my eye And hold my focus For just a little while; O! I will wander lost For miles and miles Until the day I find a purpose Which fulfills my life… No more falling behind, now we know This life is a beautiful ride Not to be wasted, but All of us love to have a good time, so We’re constantly finding New ways to get wasted. But to lose sight of our goals It will jettison us down a path Which we must wander nightly Like vagabonds of old Until we realize that we’ve Lost sight of the road We were initially traveling on… So now we’ll follow any light Just bright enough To catch our eyes And hold our focus For just a little while; O! We will wander lost For miles and miles Until the day we find a purpose Which fulfills our lives…
